| Since age five, I've been a "fiber artist." I began with
embroidery, and expanded my handwork into huck embroidery, sewing, knitting,
cross-stitch, counted cross-stitch, hooking, needlepoint, petit point,
bargello, macramé, weaving, quilt hand-piecing, machine quilting, and
collage. At the age of fifty, I became a "painted canvas" artist
specializing in contemporary floorcloths and multi-media wallcloths, which I
displayed and sold at art shows and galleries. In the last number of years,
I stopped painting and began experimenting exclusively with beaded jewelry,
which I now display and sell at art shows, through galleries, and at home
shows. It has been a wonderful journey so far, and I feel truly blessed to
have found so many creative and varied outlets in which to express myself,
and to be sharing this adventure called "life" with my husband, Marty. |
