Floorcloth Care
Floorcloth General Information
Floorcloths are versatile. They can go upon any surface as a rug replacement, although we suggest they not be placed upon carpeting or left outside in the elements.
About Your Floorcloth
Unrolling the Tube
Your floorcloth will arrive rolled over a tube. Floorcloths may be rolled, NEVER folded or bent. When your floorcloth arrives in the mail, open the box, but do NOT unroll it for several hours. Floorcloths need time to adjust to the temperature in your home. This is particularly important in the winter, in cold climates, where we suggest waiting 24 hours to fully unroll, as the floorcloths will be stiff with the cold weather.
Preparing Placement
Clean your floor area well before laying your floorcloth flat. Floorcloths are often put under tables and chairs. If that is the case, we suggest clear coasters under a table and felt pads for chairs as protection for your floorcloth.
Cleaning
Cleaning floorcloths is easy. There are several options, such as a dry mop or vacuum. Be sure to get underneath the floorcloth. You can also use a damp mop, with or without soap. Mild soaps, wood floor soap, and vinegar and water are good. Do NOT scrub. Air or wipe dry.
Storage
Keep the container and packaging your floorcloth has been sent in should you want to store it in the future or store it flat.
Maintenance
Painted floorcloths also have a layer of paste wax on the paint which can be replaced with age.
Shipping Charges We generally ship through UPS from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The shipping is charged to the buyer, and is charged after actual determination by the shipping company, as shipping charges vary. NOTE: There will be free shipping on delivery on purchases within a 60 mile radius.
No Refunds or Exchanges
We value our customers. We will work with you to choose an artwork you will enjoy as much as we loved making it.
